Lampard link to Inter Millan
-
Jose Mourinho has seemingly abandoned his hopes of signing Frank Lampard from Chelsea this summer but claims he is ‘100% sure’ the midfielder will make the move in 12 months’ time.
The arrival of Deco at Chelsea on Monday night appeared to suggest Lampard’s future may lie away from Stamford Bridge as rumours continue about the England midfielder.
However, former Blues boss Mourinho is quoted by The Sun on Tuesday admitting it is unlikely the 30-year-old will be at the San Siro any time soon.
‘This season? I don’t think so,’ Mourinho said.
‘Why won’t he? Well, it’s not because we don’t want him to, but I’m sure Chelsea and Chelsea’s officials don’t want to sell him.
‘However for the next season it will be easier for him to join me at Inter.
‘I’m 100% sure in 2009/2010 he will be playing here.’
Chelsea sign Barca playmaker Deco

Deco arrived at Chelsea from Barcelona, for a fee of around £7million, on Monday night and instantly declared that he can help the Blues become the best team in the Premier League and in Europe. The talented playmaker, who became new coach Luiz Felipe Scolari’s first signing, had recently been told by the Catalan club he did not feature in their future plans and had been consistently linked with a move to the west London club in recent months.
The 30-year-old has signed an initial two-year deal but it is understood that could be extended.
Deco, who won the Champions League and UEFA Cup with Porto, said: ‘It is good for me to be here and first of all I am very happy to be here.
‘I am sure I have come at the right time to do great things and be able to help Chelsea go back to the way it was and come back to being the first one, not only in England but also to win the Champions League that has been their dream for so long.
‘The Premier League is a great league and it is getting better and you can see that with the Champions League final, where you had two English teams.
‘It is great that we have so many great players here at Chelsea and it is great that there is the competition which is healthy for everybody and this just makes the team better
‘To have great players in any position just enhances the club. I know it is a new challenge but I am looking forward to it.
‘I know I need a little bit of time to adapt but I am sure I will adapt quite well and quite fast and do my best for the team.’
Chelsea in Robinho negotiations

Robinho could be Luiz Felipe Scolari’s next recruit after the Real Madrid forward’s agent claimed he had met Chelsea sporting director Frank Arnesen to discuss a move to Stamford Bridge.Former Brazil coach Scolari made his first move as Chelsea manager on Monday by signing Deco from Barcelona and could return to La Liga for his second, according to Robinho’s representative Vagner Ribeiro.
Ribeiro is determined to get the best move for the Real Madrid winger and claims he is better than Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo, who has been targeted by the Spanish champions.
‘It’s true that Chelsea are interested in signing Robinho,’ Ribeiro told Spanish sports daily AS.
‘They have been after him for a while and there has been much more contact since Scolari became the new Chelsea coach.
‘I met with (Frank) Arnesen in London and he confirmed to me that Chelsea wanted my player for next season.’
