Manchester United travel to Southampton in the third round of the FA Cup with the Premier League champions keen to avoid an upset against a side that is struggling to stay afloat in the Championship.

United go into the match on the back of some New Year cheer with Cristiano Ronaldo stating that he is happy at the club and is no longer angling for a move away to Real Madrid. The Spanish club’s director Pedro Trapote had stated in an interview that a deal was in place for Ronaldo to move to Madrid at the end of the season but the Portuguese winger has rubbished the reports saying that there is no truth in the report.
