    Columbus 2 – 2 Chicago

The Columbus Crew continued their recent hot streak by overcoming a two-goal deficit to rally to a 2-2 tie with the Chicago Fire on Saturday.

Steven Lenhart scored his second goal of the season from the penalty area in the 87th minute to level the contest for Columbus (8-4-3), which extended its unbeaten streak to five games.

“I just made a run for the far post,” Lenhart said. “(Schelotto) made a great pass and I was at the right spot and was able to put it in. The ball was about as good as it could have been. It obviously was a big goal for us to be able to get the tie.”

Real Salt Lake 0 – Houston Dynamo 0

With first place on the line, neither Real Salt Lake nor the Houston Dynamo could put one in the back of the net. Though not for a lack of trying.

Entering Thursday night’s showdown between, the two clubs had 19 points apiece – two behind the Western Conference-leading Los Angeles Galaxy. But despite a relentlessly active offensive showing by Real Salt Lake and a few late chances by Houston, the teams played to a scoreless draw to remain in a dead heat for second place in the West.

    Los Angeles vs New England

Adam Cristman scored two goals as the New England Revolution held on for a 2-1 victory over the Los Angeles Galaxy on Friday.

Cristman opened the scoring with an unassisted tally in the 33rd minute and then doubled the advantage four minutes later with his career-high sixth goal of the season to give the Revolution a 2-0 advantage.

“They were both off set pieces,” Cristman said. “The first was a good effort by Sharlrie (Joseph) to get his head on the ball and made it difficult for the keeper to save and, fortunately, I was at the back post to put it away. On the second, (Steve) Ralston served in a great ball and I was able to beat (Galaxy defender) Abel (Xavier) to the ball and finish it.”
